PCOS | Fertile Body

Getting women with PCOS prepared for pregnancy is one of our specialities. Treatment can help with regulating your cycle and balancing your hormones making it easier to get pregnant and carry to term.

In addition to the effects on a woman’s fertility, PCOS has serious health implications, especially if left untreated. These include, but are not limited to, an increased risk of:

  • Endometrial and breast cancer due to estrogen dominance
  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Diabetes and gestational diabetes

Treatment includes a combination of acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, nutritional supplements and diet and lifestyle shifts. In our experience diet plays a critical role in improving the causes and thus the symptoms of PCOS.

At Fertile Body we’re passionate about treating teenage girls and those in their early twenties who are diagnosed with PCOS. Early treatment reduces the reliance on medication to regulate cycles and also improves fertility outcomes when they do decide to start a family.
